On my way home pt II, Chicago

Hade en underbar dag i downtown Chicago idag. Or wait, rewind, I had promised I was going to start writing in English. If you read it please comment so I know I'm making the effort  for a reason, otherwise I'll just go back to writing in Swedish. I'm not for real comfortable writing in English but here goes.

Left StL on Wednesday morning, got to Chicago around 2 pm. Luckily I got some help with my bags, but still. Let me put it this way: All my life minus one bag I sent home with Minime in two sportsbags and one little rollerbag. Miss Badu wrote a song "Bag lady", I could write a book. Got to Cary last night, went out for a run and then I went to bed early thinking I was gone get up early (6:50) and go run before taking the 9:08 train to downtown. Don't worry, I was woke up at 8:30. My stupid self had set the alarm on 6:50 PM. Why doesn't the US have military time?!?! They have a great military, why not just do like they do and this would not happen. Oh well. Got downtown, sent some stuff to France, then I ended up in some get-together for "Cease Fire Chicago" (ceasefirechicago.org). Interesting... something need to be done. Like they said, the Cease Fire program doesn't cost that much money compared to the money the government saves by fewer homicides and incarcerations. And most of all, lives, even though you can't put a price on a life.

I strolled along on a mission to find a dress. I will need one this weekend, I'll explain later. It was a good day for it, even though it was a fat day (day?? Hmmm...). I found a pretty cute one I'll probably wear to one of the weddings this summer. Of course went down to the lake, had lunch, then went to the Art Institute of Chicago before taking the train back out to the 'burbs.

I'll upload StL photos on facebook in a min. My computer is having a better day, but I can't find the cord to the camera. Great. Chi pics will be up eventually.

English people- hollaaaa!
